Safe Nail Extensions

Taking safety precautions is the most important aspect that needs to be kept in mind before going for any kind of treatment, whether medical or beauty. Take for instance, if one is to undergo a surgery, the surgeon and his entire team takes all precautionary steps to ensure that there is no technical or procedural lapse during surgery. They also ensure utmost hygiene and sanitation in the operation theatre. At the same time, even the patient is asked to take certain measures prior to surgery to see that no surgical side-effects happen.

Similarly, for safe nail extensions, one needs to ensure all hygiene and the nail technician takes sanitation steps. In fact, prior to the undergoing extensions, one is advised to visit the nail spa and while consulting the technicians, look around and observe the hygiene standards. In fact, one can also spend a few minutes looking at how the extensions are being done.

According to the experts, every nail technician is supposed to keep their instruments in the sanitation box before and after use. Ideally, the technician should use rubber gloves during the process, and also use a large tweezer to remove the sanitized instruments from the box. This is important, as infections can spread from one hand to another because of dirt particles.

The higher the safety standards maintained, the better for the technician and the client. As, apart from the clients being in danger of contracting infections and allergies during the extension process, even the technician is prone to various skin infections. Thus, before and after a nail job one needs to properly sanitize their hands, even if they have used gloves for the process.

Also, while the process is on the client should alert the technician in case the nail extension is hurting them, or not fitting well. This is because a badly fit nail can cause injuries to the delicate sides. Safety measures have to be taken by the technician, as well as the client.
